Jyot Singh is a son of Gwinnett, a movement builder, and a small business owner. A proud graduate of Gwinnett County Public Schools (Pinckneyville Middle School and GSMST) and Yale University, Jyot has spent over a decade organizing in Georgia, playing a pivotal role in the historic 2020 elections for Democrats and the growth of Georgia’s AAPI political power through the Asian American Advocacy Fund. His professional background includes experience at Alston & Bird, the Federal Defender’s Office, working for various U.S. Governors, Senators, Members of Congress, and Mayors, and he has served as a national civil rights advocate at SALDEF. Jyot grew up in Norcross and now lives in Peachtree Corners, where he runs his management consulting business. His proudest milestone is retiring his senior father and buying his parents their home in Gwinnett.
