Matt’s running to bring new energy to the once-in-a-generation policy challenges facing Maryland. After leading March For Our Lives’s 2018 new voter turnout program, Matt started its legal team, defending the constitutionality of hard fought, common sense gun safety measures all the way up to the Supreme Court. On the Montgomery County school board, Matt championed career pathways in education, expanded mental health resources, and secured hundreds of thousands in funding for immigrant students. In the labor movement, Matt fights for teachers, bus drivers, and support professionals across Maryland.
