Matt Little is the former Mayor of Lakeville and served in the Minnesota State Senate from 2017-2021. As Mayor, he built record amounts of housing and expanded the types of housing available. He stabilized property taxes and invested in public safety—even offering to donate a portion of his salary to hire more support staff for the police department.
While a State Senator, he led the charge to ensure diabetics could afford the insulin they needed, worked across the aisle to make prescription drugs more affordable, prevented cuts to veteran services, secured vital infrastructure funding for his district, and brought Metro Mobility to Lakeville so seniors and those with disabilities had access to transportation.
Little was born and raised in Lakeville, and graduated from Rosemount High School, University of Minnesota, Morris, and the University of Minnesota Law School. Since 2015, Little has owned his own law firm, representing seniors and those with disabilities who have been hurt by negligence or abuse. Little lives in New Market Township with his wife, Coco, their daughter, Poppy, three dogs, and a rabbit named Mochi.
