Daniel Lander is running for State Senate to tackle the affordability crisis that’s making it impossible for many to build a life in Massachusetts.
From working at a civil rights law firm helping the wrongfully convicted rebuild their lives, to working as an organizer on Stacey Abrams’ and Elizabeth Warren’s campaigns, to years as a senior advisor in Boston Mayor Michelle Wu’s office, Daniel has made real changes in people’s lives. He helped expand affordable housing, launched the fare-free MBTA bus pilot, secured the cheapest e-bike rides in the nation, and created Boston Family Days, which gave more than 70,000 families free access to the city’s museums and cultural institutions.
A problem solver at heart, Daniel will bring the fight for working people to Springfield. Daniel and his husband, Michael, attend Beth El Temple and live in the Fenway neighborhood of Boston, where he serves at the Fenway Civic Association and as the elected Chair of the Ward 21 Democratic Committee.
