Biography
Billy Cook is a dedicated community leader running for the state house of representatives in Arkansas. When Arkansas landlords and legislators attempted to bypass the CDC Eviction Moratorium during COVID quarantine, Billy sprung into action pioneering an Eviction Intervention program, which prevented nearly 1,100 evictions and helped hundreds of families stay in their homes. Since then, he has worked at Arkansas Community Organizations and Arkansas Renters United to facilitate aid for his renters and underserved people in his community. Witnessing the struggles of Arkansans dealing with unfair realty practices and an unresponsive legislature, Billy was inspired to run for office to provide a real choice between genuine leadership and the status quo.
