Ashwin Ramaswami would be the first Indian American elected to the Georgia legislature. Which is a huge deal. There are over 100,000 Indian Americans in GA, many of whom are voting for the first time because of Ashwin. He’s running against 1st term incumbent Rep. Shawn Still, who was indicted along with Donald Trump for allegedly violating Georgia’s RICO Act, impersonating a public officer, forgery, false statements and writings, and other charges. Under the newly redistricted lines, this is one of the most flippable seats in the Georgia Senate.
